The Canine Fitness Institute’s Aqua therapy certification program is a six (6) day (50 hour) program, running from Monday through Saturday, held at Rocky’s Retreat’s state of the art canine health & fitness center located in Orlando, FL. The facility features an indoor climate controlled warm water pool sanitized with ozone.
Class hours are approximately 9am – 5PM each day. The day will include a 1 hour lunch break and a minimum of 5 hours in the pool each day. Students will receive a manual consisting of the items detailed below. Review of the manual may take a portion of the day with adequate time for discussion. This is YOUR class, and as such, we will tailor it to meet your specific needs. We will allocate enough time during the day to ensure your thorough understanding of the manual material, but our primary focus is to make sure that you’re comfortable handling a wide variety of dogs in the water.
The dogs used in the training program will include those that present various challenges and degrees of difficulty while in the water. Upon completion of the program you'll have the confidence to handle the dogs that you'll encounter in your practice.

Requirements for Certification
Students will fully participate in all activities of the program. Sessions will be reviewed and discussed during class.
Out of town students are responsible for their own transportation and lodging. We can recommend a variety of nearby, reasonably priced accommodations. Please contact us for that.
What to bring and wear? Bring two changes of quick dry tops and shorts (such as running clothes, board shorts, etc), and water shoes for working in the pool. Easy on and off comfortable clothing and shoes when not in the pool. Look at the time of year and decide whether sweats or shorts are more appropriate. It actually does get cold in Florida! Bring lunch every day, unless you have transportation and wish to go out. There are restaurants nearby, but we find it best to eat here. If you have any questions, please contact us at 407-295-3888 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
To ensure each student gets individual focus and attention, class size is limited to 4 students.
